As a Long Island wedding photographer, there is nothing quite like capturing a love story at a spectacular, sweeping venue setting like the Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown, New York.
This spring season, I had the absolute pleasure of working as a creative collaborator to document Abby and Rachel’s stunning wedding celebration. From the perfectly manicured golf course greens to the incredible energy radiating from the grand ballroom, every single moment felt completely natural and full of classic romance. And oh don't you worry about rain at this venue! The soft light entering the bridal suite in the morning is a dream! And who doesn't love a portrait session using clear dome umbrellas!
During the getting ready portion of the day, I love how Stonebridge's private suites are set up. They are close enough so a coordinator or family can bounce back and forth between them while the couple can stay completely separate until their first look. There is plenty of space within each room for the wedding party, making the capturing of morning portraits and wardrobe details a breeze!
During our portrait block, we focused heavily on utilizing the unique architectural and scenic layout of Stonebridge Country Club, paying close attention to how the natural light interacted with the open outdoor spaces.
One of my absolute favorite highlights from Abby and Rachel's beautiful day was documenting the intricate table details, floral centerpieces, and high-energy ballroom entrance that truly showcased the playful bond of the celebration. Documenting these unique wedding stories across Long Island and the surrounding areas is exactly why I love creative direction.
If you are currently looking for a Long Island wedding photographer or planning your own upcoming celebration at Stonebridge Country Club, I would love to help bring your vision to life.
